Wednesday, June 30th, 2010As I told you last week, our girl Ashlyne Huff will be performing during two dates this summer — August 6 at Rolling River and August 7 at Camp Westmont. Even better? Ashlyne just announced that she is looking for a personal reporter for each show to take photos, get video footage and possibly even write a guest blog right here for Camplified.com! The contest is open to everyone, even if you’re NOT A CAMPER. All you have to do to enter is make a short video explaining why you would make a fantastic reporter for Ashlyne, specifying which date you would like to attend. Click here for details and to upload your video. Good luck!!

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010I told you guys that I would report back with footage of Michael and Marisa’s show from this year’s Bamboozle Roadshow Tour — and I never tell a lie! Check out the pop rock duo performing their song, “Rock U Now,” in Uniondale, NY, on Saturday. Please excuse the slightly shaky camera, as I was just overcome with excitement! Also just got word that M&M will be performing again at select dates during this summer’s Camplified Tour. YAYA!

Be Thomas Fiss’ Roadie For a Day!
Thursday, June 10th, 2010Camplified 2010 artist Thomas Fiss told me personally that he’s super-psyched for this summer’s tour! “I think Camplified allows summer camps to become a great outlet for showing kids that music can be a really fun way to express themselves,” Thomas says. “The sponsors and activities allow us to become more than a performer for the day. It allows us to become role models and friends to the campers. If I was able to experience this when I was their age, I would have had my parents enroll me in summer camp in a heartbeat!”
Thomas is also all about going green and helping to make our world a better place. He’s teamed up with Camplified 2010 sponsor Samsung/T-Mobile to encourage campers to recycle their old cell phones. Make a pledge to recycle yours or your family’s old phones by filling out this entry form, and you could be chosen to represent your camp as Thomas’ personal roadie for the day! This includes introducing Thomas on stage, hosting the meet ‘n’ greet at your camp and more. “They will get to announce me on stage and hang out with me all day!” Thomas exclaims. “They get to experience something that many kids their age don’t, like hang out with professional recording artists, then watch them rock out!” Not gonna lie… I’m a little jeal. I’d love to be a rock star’s roadie! If you get chosen at your camp, you better tell me ALL about it — maybe you can guest blog about your experience here on Camplified.com! Click here for the full press release.

Camplified 2009 Artists & Bands: Part 3 of 3
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009There comes a time when all good things must come to end, such as the Camplified tour. But that does not mean the memories of great times and the sounds of amazing music cannot still live on, in us. This is the last installment of the bands that have graced the many different stages of the Camplified tour.
The first band I am going to talk about is a young group of guys, BYS.

Their music is of pop punk influence. Over the course of a few tour dates with them the Camplified crew was singing along to some pretty good songs. One of the crowd favorites was “Erased”. This is an upbeat song and sounds like a great old school punk song.
This next artist is a solo artist that has opened for the Jonas Brothers and many other bands of the pop genre. He is a funny, talented and kind guy. All of those qualities come through in his music. That’s right I am talking about the one and only Phil Bensen.

Phil singing at Day In The Park Camp
While on tour he entertained us many of times by creating a song while on stage in front of the crowd just by using a name, place, color anything you can think of that was shouted to him from the crowd. It was one of many great experiences, I will never forget while being on this tour. He had so many great songs for us here at Camplified to choose from but at the end of the day we choose “Slow Down”
Camplified 2009 Artists & Bands: Part 2 of 3
Thursday, August 27th, 2009Hello Everyone!!! I did not want to leave everyone hanging on in wait to long for more the artists and bands we have had on tour this summer!
The first band up is a young band called Jersey Kidz.

Singing Rocking tunes to the campers
This band was the youngest band ever to grace the stages of Bamboozle (a 3 day concert event held at Giants Stadium in NJ) and the connection they have with the crowd is amazing. Below is a song called “Jersey Kidz Rock” which really got the campers out of their seats and jumping up and down.
Camplified 2009 Artists & Bands: Part 1 of 3
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009The summer has gone by so fast this year and I believe that is due to the wonderful artists and bands that we have on tour with us! As the saying goes, “Time flies when your having fun”. Over the course of the next three blogs I am going to give all of you a recap for the good-times and great music that I have the privileged to be apart of.
Taylor Bright

Getting to know the campers
has been one of those artists that has made time fly by because of her energy and charismatic personality both on and off stage. She may be young but her but watching her perform and hearing her sing you wouldn’t believe her age! Below is a song entitled
“My Worst Best Friend”
[soundcloud url="http://soundcloud.com/lisa_marie_smith/my-worst-best-friend-1"] this song has been a major hit among all the campers on this tour.
Another amazing young band but with older voices is Kicking Daisies

Rocking the Skate Park
. Their music is of a rock/punk genre, with two female and two male members this band knows how to rock the house. A great fact about this band is the drummer for Kicking Daises is the world’s fastest female drummer! Here is a song that really got the kids pumped up!
