Thanks to your votes, Camplified 2010 act Jessica Prouty Band has been named a finalist in the SchoolJam USA Battle of the Bands! The Jessica Prouty Band is one of 10 bands who will be performing for a star-studded panel of judges on January 15 in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District. If they win, they will not only receive the championship title, but they will also get a grand-prize trip to perform at the original SchoolJam festival in Frankfurt, Germany, a private music video recording session on the John Lennon Educational Bus, $1,000 towards the purchase of new music gear, and an additional $5,000 in funding for their school music program. The nationwide contest is sponsored by the National Association of Music Merchants, which supports music education programs and encourages youth across the United States to demonstrate their musical talent. But in order for the Jessica Prouty Band (NorthEast region) to move into the SchoolJam USA finals, they need your VOTES! Camplified 2010 sponsor EdisonLearning is looking for original videos of kids, tweens, teens (and anyone really) singing, playing an instrument or just plain rocking out to EL’s new theme song, “The Power of You,” by Eddie Bush of Lucky Bush Publishing. The five best PoY renditions will be judged and selected by Camplified artists (including members of Thomas Fiss‘ band, Cody Simpson and Michael and Marisa), as well as music industry insiders. Camplified Stops By Mid Island Y JCC
Saturday, July 17th, 2010Camplified made a stop at Mid Island Y JCC in Plainview, NY, on July 14 and the campers couldn’t have been more psyched! The Camp Crew arrived with a van full o’ fun with activities and giveaways sponsored by Cartoon Network, Juicy Juice, Scholastic, Epiphone Guitars and more. The band line-up included pop/rock artist Josiah Rea, singer/songwriter Thomas Fiss and alternative rockers Jessica Prouty Band.

Golden Slipper Camp Gets CAMPLIFIED!

Monday, July 5th, 2010Hey hey hey! Thought I’d help CampChick out a bit with the blogging — I’m a former camp counselor dude with a thing for swimming, kayaking, tubing and all things camp, really. Now that the formal intros are out of the way… guess what?? The Camplified 2010 tour kicks off TODAY at Golden Slipper Camp in Stroudsburg, PA! Check out these photos I just got from our Camplified road crew. Pop rock guy Josiah Rea rocked the teens and tweens at Golden Slipper, followed by Jessica Prouty Band.
