Camplified Wraps At Camp Veritans

Friday, October 15th, 2010

On August 13, 2010, the Camplified vans rolled in to Camp Veritans in Haledon, NJ, for the final 2010 tour date. Thomas Fiss (who played all 31 camp dates!) was there, along with tons of Juicy Juice and more fun, games, prizes and even a little silly string. It’s been an amazing tour, and it’s safe to say that everyone will be missed, judging from the Camp Crew’s final “From The Road” blog. But next summer will be here before you know it! Meantime, keep visiting us here at Camplified.com, and on our Facebook and Twitter, where we will continue to keep you updated on all your favorite Camplified artists during the summer camp off-season! Camp Crew Blog: Memories From Camp…

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Hey there, Julie (pictured above, far left) reporting here from the Camplified road crew! The Camplified 2010 tour ended just over a month ago, and I got to thinking… thought I would share a couple of my favorite memories from this summer at camp!

One of my favorite activities to help out with was the Juicy Juice Relay Race. I spent a lot of time at the Juicy Juice tent overseeing the relay races and applying fake tattoos for the campers. Some kids had Juicy Juice-can tattoos covering their legs, arms and even their faces! They were all so excited to try the new all-natural Sparkling Fruit Juice, available in berry, apple and orange flavors. I never knew that a healthy fruit juice could get kids so pumped up! Hmmm… maybe the kids don’t realize that it’s healthy… shhhh, we’ll keep that one a secret!

While on tour, I also met so many awesome kids that I will never forget! On our first day, while the bands and crew ate lunch at Golden Slipper Camp in Pennsylvania, the girls stood up on their chairs and yelled cute little cheers that they had made up just for Camplified and our very own Thomas Fiss! They were so loud and excited — it was a lot of fun to see how psyched the kids were for us to be there. Talk about a great way to kick off the tour! Thanks Golden Slipper, as well as all the camps that followed for making us feel so welcome!

I already miss all the excitement, live music and fun times, but I will always remember how much fun was had on the 2010 Camplified tour!

*Julie

Camplified made a stop at Camp KinderRing in Hopewell Junction, NY, back on July 18, and it looks like the campers had an absolute blast! Featuring performances by Thomas Fiss, Cody Simpson and Josiah Rea, the concert completely rocked and the Meet & Greet after the show was equally enjoyable. Campers also got to decorate Stardoll T-shirts and sip on Juicy Juice — sounds like my kinda party!

Camp Crew Blog: Life On The Camplified Tour

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Hello everyone! My name is Tenia, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be a crew member on Camplified this summer! I’m from Omaha, Nebraska, and touring throughout much of the Northeast was such an amazing experience — I would not take it back for anything. Tour just wrapped last week, with our last show at Camp Veritans in Haledon, NJ. So, where do I start?! There is so much that goes on with a production such as Camplified, that I could write for days… but I will do my best to give you a little summary. Our days consisted of executing various events such as T-shirt designing with Stardoll, relay races with Juicy Juice, and even watching this awesome TV show, Unnatural History, courtesy of Cartoon Network. The crew then helped out with the rock concert, taking pictures and videos, and helping with the Meet & Greets afterward with the musicians, like the adorable Cody Simpson (that’s me and him in the photo above!)

If this is something that looks like it could interest then you, then get as much experience at home as you can. You can work at your local concert venue, intern in radio/TV, or get into promotions. Touring with other people teaches you a lot about yourself, and you will grow more than you know! I have to say that this is true with anything that you do, but getting away from your normality at home can help with that. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer, and maybe I’ll meet some of you out there on the road one day! ;) -Tenia
